Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Power EIT in Dallas, TX. As part of the Power generation team, you will conduct analyses, assist with design options, and help prepare project deliverables under supervision from senior engineers.

This role supports growth toward licensure and professional advancement within an employee-owned culture. In this position, you will perform routine engineering tasks, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to project schedules and budgets while developing your

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering required.
• EIT certification required.
• Experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred.
• Strong coordination, communication, analytical and organizational skills.
• Desire to pursue growth opportunities and registration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications).
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures. Checking manufacture's drawings, performing engineering calculations, designs, layouts, verifying code compliance, quality checks, meeting project schedules and budget as well as coordination of work with other disciplines.
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects.
• Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
