Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power EIT in Dallas to conduct analyses and develop design options for power-related projects. You will assist in project deliverables, review drawings, calculations and specifications, and coordinate with multiple disciplines.

You will work with Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, and BIM Specialists on projects of varying scope, independently on small tasks or supporting senior engineers on larger efforts, while pursuing growth opportunities and professional registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
• Must be able to coordinate work with others, have good communication, analytical and organizational skills.
• Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, project specifications)
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures; check drawings, perform calculations, designs, layouts, verify code compliance, quality checks, meet project schedules and budgets, coordinate with other disciplines
• Complete projects with clear objectives and limited variables
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers/professionals on larger projects
• Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

In the role of Power EIT, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
