Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power EIT in Fort Worth, Texas to contribute to power-related design analyses and project deliverables within a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

You will support engineers, perform standard engineering tasks, and grow toward professional registration while contributing to reliable and sustainable power systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to coordinate work with others and communicate analytically and organizationally.
• Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations and assist in preparing project deliverables.
• Perform routine engineering assignments applying standard techniques and procedures; check drawings, perform calculations, designs and layouts.
• Complete projects with clear objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Power EIT, we'll count on you to:

• Conduct analyses to develop power-related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications)
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures. Checking manufacture's drawings, performing engineering calculations, designs, layouts, verifying code compliance, quality checks, meeting project schedules and budget as well as coordination of work with other disciplines.
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects
• Work with assistance from Project Engineers, other Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
• Must be able to coordinate work with others have good communication analytical and organizational skills.
• Desire to pursue growth opportunities and obtain registration.
