Job summary

Randstad USA in Santa Ana, CA is seeking an Assembly Technician to build sub-assemblies and final products for power distribution units and transformers. You will follow SOPs, handle wiring, and use hand and power tools in a safety‑conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies
• Use cranes to pick up, and move transformers and materials
• Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly
• Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product
• Perform point to point wiring during the assembling of Power Distribution Units
• Work with sheetmetal to build transformer legs and additional components related to transformer assembly
• Ability to operate oven and VPI tanks as part of the assembly process
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals
• Adhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulations
• Provide process and safety improvement ideas
• Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+
