Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an assembler in Santa Ana, CA for transformer-related production. Follow SOPs to build sub-assemblies and complete assemblies, operate cranes, and perform wiring and sheetmetal tasks. Inspect parts for quality and maintain safety per 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Follow SOPs to build sub-assemblies and assemblies.
• Use fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
• Perform point to point wiring during the assembling of Power Distribution Units.
• Work with sheetmetal to build transformer legs and additional components related to transformer assembly.
• Operate oven and VPI tanks as part of the assembly process.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
• Adhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulations.
• Provide process and safety improvement ideas.
• Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to build sub-assemblies and assemblies.
• Operate cranes to move transformers and materials.
• Perform visual inspections before and after assembly.
• Use fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools for assembly and repairs.
• Perform point-to-point wiring during the assembly of Power Distribution Units.
• Handle sheetmetal for transformer components.
• Operate ovens and VPI tanks as part of the process.
• Inspect and adjust assemblies to meet quality standards.
• Maintain safety and 5S practices in the workspace.
• Suggest process and safety improvements.
• Calibrate machines and tools and perform housekeeping.
