Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in Arden, NC is seeking a Power Distribution Test Technician to run end-to-end functional tests, validate wiring, and ensure units ship performing as engineered. You’ll create test plans, troubleshoot faults, and collaborate with Engineering and Quality to drive corrective actions.

The role requires hands-on electrical work, the ability to read schematics, and a commitment to safety. Compensation includes a $26.50/hour base with shift specifics noted on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in power distribution.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of complex electrical circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute test plans for structures, units, panels, and complete assemblies.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, insulation, and sequence testing to validate quality and functionality.
• Follow schematics, diagrams, engineered specifications, and test procedures to verify product operation.
• Pinpoint test failures, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions with Engineering and Quality.
• Confirm customer orders are complete and assist with on-site testing and inspections.
• Recommend improvements to assembly, wiring, calibration, and test methods; document changes.
• Maintain test equipment and calibration status; generate accurate records and reports.
• Uphold safety, PPE, hygiene, and housekeeping standards at all times.
