Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division seeks an Electrical Technician to join the Omaha, NE team. The role focuses on final inspection, testing, and component troubleshooting to ensure correct product function.

On-site work with a schedule 6:00am–4:30pm and a starting hourly rate of $28.00–$34.00. Responsibilities include following instructions, performing comprehensive tests, and coordinating corrective actions with Engineering and Quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in power distribution or electrical distribution.
• No relocation benefit; within 50-mile radius; military exemptions.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Set up, inspect, and test equipment per verbal and written instructions, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, insulation, and sequence testing; inspect assemblies and components for quality and functionality.
• Troubleshoot test failures, determine root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with Engineering, Quality, and supervision.
• Verify customer orders for completeness and support customer inspectors during testing and inspection activities.
• Recommend and support improvements to assembly, wiring, calibration, testing procedures, and ensure required changes and repairs are completed.
• Maintain test equipment, calibration status, records, and reports.
• Comply with all safety, PPE, hygiene, and housekeeping requirements.
