Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division in Greenwood, SC is seeking an Electrical Technician for 1st shift. You will perform final inspection and functional testing of Eaton products to ensure quality before shipment, develop test plans, and interpret diagrams and procedures.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, conducting electrical, insulation and sequence tests, troubleshooting failures, and documenting repairs. Strong reading of schematics and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in power distribution or electrical distribution.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Relocation is not offered for this position. Candidates must live within a fifty-mile radius of the Greenwood, SC facility.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, drawings, and specifications to set up, inspect, and test equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, insulation, and sequence testing; inspect panels, assemblies, and components to verify quality and functionality.
• Troubleshoot test failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and supervisory teams on corrective actions.
• Validate customer orders for accuracy and completeness; support customer inspectors during testing and inspection processes.
• Recommend and assist with improvements to assembly, wiring, calibration, and testing methods; ensure required changes and repairs are completed.
• Maintain test equipment, calibration status, test documentation, and inspection records.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, hygiene standards, and housekeeping practices.
