Job summary

HKA Enterprises is seeking a Designer III to work primarily in an office setting with significant field work. You will design utility systems, including overhead/underground circuits, lighting, and gas/generation setups, with interaction with clients and crews. DOE-based pay ranges apply.

The role involves producing CAD drawings, project documentation, and permitting materials, plus mentorship to peers. A valid driver's license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent + 4 years of relevant work experience
• Associate's degree + 3 years of relevant work experience
• Valid driver's license
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check; motor vehicle checks may be required based on position

Responsibilities

• Independently perform field data collection and project-specific inspections for moderately complex projects
• Produce high-quality CAD drawings and material lists for simple projects
• Provide support required by supervision for more complex tasks
• Ensure all necessary project communications are documented as required by training
• Provide guidance and training to peers and newer designers on simple projects
• Independently produce permitting documentation as needed
• Communicate with clients and participate in site meetings with oversight
• Work independently, under supervision for mentorship, guidance, and training
