Job summary

HKA Enterprises in Asheville, NC is seeking a Power Distribution Designer to design overhead and underground distribution systems for joint use, lighting, and development projects. This role supports field data collection and storm restoration efforts while producing CAD drawings and material lists for moderately complex work.

The position requires independent work with management support, frequent client and crew coordination, and field exposure in varying weather.

Qualifications

Experience with field data collection and documentation for utility design projects.

Proven skills in producing CAD drawings and material lists.

Responsibilities

Independently perform field data collection and inspections for complex projects.
Produce high-quality CAD drawings and material lists for moderately complex projects; support more complex tasks.
Document project communications as required by training.
Provide guidance to peers on simple projects and assist with permitting documentation.
Lead client communications and site meetings with oversight.
Work independently with limited oversight; mentor and train others as needed.
