Job summary

HKA Enterprises seeks a Power Distribution Designer/Engineer to support utility distribution design projects in the United States. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of hands-on experience and a solid understanding of distribution systems.

The role collaborates with engineers, project managers, utilities, and field crews to develop safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs. EIT preferred; strong skills in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and ability to read electrical drawings will help drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 1–3 years of electrical power distribution design/engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, maps, and standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work both independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer overhead and underground electrical power distribution systems.
• Develop design plans, construction drawings, and supporting documentation.
• Perform electrical calculations and assist with system planning and equipment selection.
• Prepare material lists, construction packages, work orders, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with utility clients, engineers, and field crews to meet project deadlines.
