Job summary

HKA Enterprises, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Power Distribution Design Engineer responsible for writing work orders, field data collection one day per week, and data entry into design systems under supervision.

You will apply technical expertise to identify and resolve power distribution issues, plan and monitor activities, prepare reports, and collaborate with team members to achieve project goals. This is an in-person role with opportunities to develop leadership within a small team.

Qualifications

• Technical Associates degree or 2+ years of relevant power distribution experience.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, team-oriented and customer oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Write work orders and manage multiple orders concurrently.
• Spend about one day per week in the field gathering data.
• Enter data into design systems and supervise assigned work.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve power distribution issues.
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule and monitor activities to meet goals.
• Prepare thorough reports, calculations and sketches; conduct studies.
• Develop positive working relationships and communicate effectively.
• Maintain accurate records and files and represent the company professionally.
