Job summary

HKA Enterprises seeks a Designer III (DT III) to design utility systems, including overhead and underground circuits for joint use, lighting, and development projects. This role combines office work with field data collection and storm restoration support.

You will produce high-quality CAD drawings and material lists, support more complex tasks, and communicate with clients and construction crews, with independence and mentorship as you progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Associate's degree plus 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Motor vehicle checks may be required based on position.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Designer III (DT III) position is the third level in the Designer career track. This role provides designs for utility systems, including overhead and underground circuits for joint use, lighting, and commercial, industrial, and residential development. This track also supports field data collection and storm restoration efforts. You'll handle moderately complex design projects and provide support on more complex projects, with more independence than the DT II, while interacting with clients/customers and construction crews. Primarily office-based with significant field work required, including exposure to inclement weather. Pay: $27.00–$30.00 per hour DOE
