Job summary

HKA Enterprises designs utility systems and supports field data collection for storm restoration, with both office CAD work and significant field exposure. This full-time role involves independent project work and direct client interaction.

Applicants should have a high school diploma with relevant experience or an Associate’s degree with design-related work, plus a valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in variable weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 7 years’ distribution design experience, or an Associate’s degree with 5 years’ related work.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform field data collection and project-specific inspections for complex projects.
• Produce high-quality CAD drawings and material lists for moderately complex projects; support more complex tasks under supervision.
• Ensure all necessary project communications are documented as required by training.
• Provide guidance and training to peers and newer designers on simple projects.
• Independently produce permitting documentation as needed.
• Communicate with clients and lead site meetings with oversight.
• Work independently with limited oversight, under supervision for mentorship, guidance, and training.
