Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Power Design Engineer in Rolling Meadows, IL to lead full life-cycle development for power architectures used in RF/EO DSP and embedded platforms. The role requires DoD Secret clearance or higher and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical/computer engineering with power electronics experience.
• Switch mode power supply design experience.
• Hands-on prototyping and debugging of power systems.
• Translate system performance into hardware requirements, design and test specs.
• Ability to lead projects with 2+ team members.
• Familiarity with DOORS, ClearCase, ClearQuest.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• US Citizenship and DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop power conversion architectures for RF/EO DSP and embedded processing.
• Collaborate with system, sub-system, and hardware engineers across the life cycle.
• Ensure regulatory compliance to DoD requirements (MIL-STD-704, 461, 464, DO-160, TEMPEST).
• Maintain design documentation and configuration management throughout the product life cycle.
