Job summary

Kiewit Power Delivery seeks a Superintendent to lead field operations on high‑voltage transmission and substation projects. You will oversee multiple foremen and craft professionals, mentoring junior staff and ensuring safety, schedule, cost control, and client satisfaction using the ECI model.

You'll work within a multi‑billion‑dollar portfolio across North America, collaborating with internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role on transmission or substation projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of progressive design-build or ECI models is a plus.
• Excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead field execution on high-voltage transmission and substation projects
• Mentor and develop junior superintendents and foremen
• Oversee subcontractor coordination and contract administration
• Drive client engagement and represent Kiewit in planning and problem-solving meetings
• Mentor and help to grow Jr. Superintendents
• Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on site
• Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with client for problem resolution and planning
• Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections
• Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
• Maintain daily diary for record-keeping purposes
• Ensure that all performance evaluations are completed in a timely fashion for direct reports
• Recommend organizational, policy, and procedural or staff changes
• Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen.
