Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent for its Power Delivery group in Minnesota. The role coordinates, plans, and supervises assistants, contractors, and craft activities within a discipline area, while strengthening customer relationships through excellent service.

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, safety, and risk management across multiple complex projects; mentoring team members and ensuring compliance with contracts and policies. Compensation varies by experience and location.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 10 years of trade experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Strong communication, planning, and project coordination skills.
• Knowledge of construction law, contracts, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedule.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability; coordinate with design engineers.
• Develop and manage project schedule and site logistics; supervise superintendents and partners.
• Coach and develop team members; conduct meetings, interviews, and career development discussions.
• Ensure task coding, track work progress, and provide safety, quality, and risk management oversight.
