Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Assistant Supply Chain Manager - Power to support the Power Delivery Operating Group in Minneapolis. You will oversee Project Buyers, drive procurement execution, and coordinate with project leadership and engineering teams to source materials efficiently and cost-effectively.

The role emphasizes supplier relationship building, contract compliance, and leadership of a high-performing Buyer team, with a hybrid work arrangement and focus on substations, wind collection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, construction management, or related discipline.
• 7+ years in supply chain, construction materials, or procurement.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience driving process improvements and leading change.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams, estimating, and design leads to align supply chain strategies with goals and timelines.
• Develop and implement package strategies with leadership to improve cost, delivery, and risk.
• Lead supplier negotiations and ensure terms align with contract flow-down requirements.
• Coordinate with Legal, Operations, and Risk to uphold contract terms and compliance.
• Build strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and competitiveness.
• Support material planning to ensure timely delivery aligned with schedules.
• Coach and develop Buyer team to maintain high performance.
