Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent in the Power Delivery group to coordinate, plan, and supervise assistants, contractors, and craft activities within a discipline area. The role emphasizes building customer relationships through excellent service and effective project leadership.

Open to varying levels based on experience, the role offers significant responsibility and travel to support multiple complex projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years construction management or related experience.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects.
• Detail-oriented with ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate company policies.
• Travel up to 100% and collaboration across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement to support project schedule with materials, equipment, and inspections.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability; coordinate with design engineers.
• Develop and manage project schedule; site logistics; coordinate with partner superintendents.
• Coach, supervise, and develop team members; conduct orientations and site meetings.
• Ensure task coding, track progress, and manage training and career development discussions.
• Build effective relationships across diverse backgrounds and levels.
• Lead by example, provide coaching and feedback, and manage performance.
• Oversee safety, quality, risk, and compliance; seek process improvements.
