Job summary

HDR is seeking a Power Delivery Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team in the Pacific Northwest. You will lead the structural design for transmission lines and substations up to 500kV, coordinating with PMs across multiple offices to deliver safe, efficient, and buildable solutions.

Ideal candidates bring a PE license, HV experience, and collaboration skills to mentor junior engineers, write specifications, and support QA/QMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license recognized by the licensing board.
• Experience with structural design for HV transmission lines, switchyards or substations.
• Experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firms.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering tasks for transmission line and substation projects.
• Provide technical guidance to project team members.
• Perform quality checks and reviews per HDR QMS requirements.
• Collaborate with other engineers to cross-train and share resources.
