Job description

Join to apply for the Power Delivery Project Manager (Remote) role at POWER Engineers.

POWER Engineers, a member of WSP, is seeking a Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team. The successful candidate will manage technical and financial aspects of Power Delivery projects, develop client relationships, and market our services to existing and new clients. This role offers flexibility to work remotely from any mutually acceptable location, with preference given to candidates in the Midwest/South Central areas. Periodic travel to POWER or client offices may be required.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships
  • Manage status reporting, invoicing, and accounts receivable for each project
  • Collaborate with project design teams to execute projects and develop proposals
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team
  • Develop & maintain schedules, lead status meetings, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, and manage client relationships
  • Work primarily with Power Delivery project teams, with potential interface with other disciplines
  • Travel within the region to meet with clients as needed
  • Demonstrate project management skills including CPM scheduling, budget analysis, team leadership, proposal writing, and client marketing
Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience, preferably in engineering, Electrical, Civil, or Structural fields
  • Minimum 8 years of industry experience
  • At least 2 years in project management
  • Experience with small- to medium-scale projects and project lead engineering
  • Knowledge of project management processes and tools
  • Understanding of power delivery infrastructure engineering
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
Desired Education/Experience
  • Over 10 years of experience leading electrical projects in utility environments
  • Experience managing large-scale, complex projects
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Consulting experience and familiarity with regional utilities in the Midwest or South Central
  • PE registration is desirable
