Job Description

The Quality Project Delivery team is growing and looking for its next strong program manager. This is a remote position and can be filled in any location.

In this role, you will manage all aspects of facilities, materials, environmental, or geotechnical engineering projects within a National Account program(s) to ensure safe completion on time, within scope, and within budget, with a focus on quality management and delivery. Responsibilities include completing projects per contracted scope, monitoring progress, troubleshooting operational problems, and working directly with local project operations either remotely or on-site. You may also be responsible for resource management, project scheduling, budgets, forecasts, and coordinating with external vendors, subcontractors, or contractors. You will conduct meetings, prepare reports, set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet targets and milestones. Client communication and satisfaction, engagement of operational leadership, and financial responsibilities such as approving invoices and preparing change orders are also part of the role.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage large-scale projects or National Account Programs with multiple project managers.
  2. Work with clients to define project scope, schedule, and budget, and manage projects to meet client needs.
  3. Lead interactions with clients, stakeholders, and project managers to ensure coordinated delivery.
  4. Design and implement project management plans, including schedules, quality, and delivery plans.
  5. Lead safety efforts, ensuring compliance with safety plans.
  6. Collaborate with local operations to resolve operational issues across projects.
  7. Identify and gather resources for projects.
  8. Oversee work specifications, schedules, budgets, and contractor selection.
  9. Estimate costs, resources, and time; prepare expenditure forecasts.
  10. Monitor activities, allocate resources, and ensure targets are met.
  11. Manage project profit and loss, working with leadership.
  12. Partner with project managers for resource allocation across departments.
  13. Conduct meetings, prepare reports, and communicate project status.
  14. Support and direct large projects and client pursuits, including strategy and facilitation.
  15. Coach and mentor project managers.
  16. Coordinate with quality and finance teams for oversight and financial management.
  17. Manage project risks, ensure contracts are signed, and monitor adherence to policies.
  18. Communicate safety initiatives and enforce safety rules.
  19. Promote continuous quality improvement and conduct quality audits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or similar, with at least 15 years' related experience, or 19 years' experience without a degree.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
  • Ability to travel to offices and project sites multiple times annually.
  • Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer certification.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or similar relevant certification.

This position is categorized as a "Remote Only" position, meaning employees work from home or another location without a designated office workspace.

The salary range for this position is $103,500-$160,400, with final compensation based on qualifications and experience.
