Job summary

United Utility Services in Denver, CO is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to oversee all phases of multi-discipline utility projects. You will ensure delivery on time and within budget, coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal and PMO, and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include developing project plans, schedules, change control, risk management, stakeholder reporting, and guiding the project team toward achieving business goals while upholding Safety,

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience with engineering, design activities, or project management.
• 5 years of prior experience in Overhead and Underground electrical power distribution systems.
• Preferred BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management and/or Business or equivalent experience.
• Utility and contractor experience preferred.
• Must be self-motivated, team-oriented with a passion to help when needed and willing to adhere to the quality and safety standards of United Utility.
• Knowledge of Project Management principles and practices
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to cope with deadlines, manage time, set priorities, define roles and responsibilities, and make decisions.
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, customers, and the public.
• Excellent reading comprehension and interpretation abilities
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project.
• Exceptional understanding of Excel to analyze data.
• Computer literate with knowledge of current technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall program from initiation to closeout within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with Operations Leads and Engineering to track client deliverables.
• Prepare project plan, schedule, communications, and change control processes.
• Facilitate regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide reports for management and guidance to project support staff.
• Escalate risks and manage budget and timelines.
