Job summary

WSP is seeking a Distribution Project Manager for the Power & Energy Program Management Team in Fort Worth and the Dallas, TX Metroplex region. This hybrid role requires three days in the Fort Worth office with remote work available for the rest of the week, subject to client preferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of post-education experience with PM responsibility in Power Delivery or related infra.
• Demonstrated experience managing medium to large transmission line/substation projects for electric utilities.
• Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, risk, and client satisfaction.
• Advanced understanding of utility project delivery including engineering, procurement, permitting, environmental coordination, construction readiness, outage coordination, and commissioning.
• Strong working knowledge of CPM scheduling, cost forecasting, earned value management, change management, risk management, and invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Establish, coordinate, and implement program delivery plans aligning with corporate goals and client expectations.
• Serve as primary accountability for project delivery, identify issues, drive decisions, escalate risks, ensure client alignment.
• Lead client engagement and relationship development through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams including engineering, project controls, procurement, construction, environmental, permitting, vendors, contractors, and client stakeholders.
• Oversee governance frameworks, project delivery standards, and escalation procedures.
• Track earned value, cost to complete, and forecast program outcomes using industry-standard software.
