Job summary
POWERX Edge in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Distribution Engineer I to learn and apply engineering design, cost estimation, project coordination, and field inspection for electric power distribution projects. This role collaborates across departments to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions that meet industry standards.
You will work with teams to design overhead and underground systems, manage Capital and O&M projects through all phases, and develop skills in NEC/NESC standards, with opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or General) preferred.
- 0–1 year of progressive engineering experience.
- EIT or PE license preferred.
- Knowledge of NEC, NESC, and distribution standards is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Learn to design, estimate, and coordinate overhead and underground power distribution systems.
- Learn to lead and manage Capital and O&M projects through all phases from concept to closeout.
- Learn to identify and implement innovative engineering solutions to improve reliability, cost-efficiency, and safety.
- Maintain records related to project progress, cost and compliance.
