Job summary

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager in Bozeman, MT, to pursue high‑voltage transmission and substation projects across North America.

The role focuses on building relationships with utilities, developers, and EPC partners while traveling for client meetings and industry events. You will collaborate with estimating, operations, and executive leaders to develop pursuit strategies and manage prequalification submissions and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years in business development, project management, operations, estimating, or related role in power delivery.
• Strong understanding of transmission line and substation construction and utility infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic BD initiatives for power delivery across North America.
• Build and maintain relationships with utility clients, developers, engineering firms, and EPC partners.
• Identify, track, and qualify upcoming transmission line and substation projects.
