Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Drafting Intern in Charlotte, NC to revise existing drawings and prepare new ones from verbal or written instructions and sketches. The role includes plotting drawings, learning drafting standards, and performing assigned duties within a specified discipline.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a CAD/Engineering Technology program with a minimum 3.0 GPA, prior internship experience preferred, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Revise existing drawings and prepare drawings of basic components from explicit instructions or sketches.
• Plot drawings and learn company/client drafting standards and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing learning across a selected discipline.
