Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Drafting Intern to revise existing drawings and prepare drawings of basic components from explicit instructions or sketches. You will plot drawings and learn drafting standards, procedures, and discipline practices with hands-on training.

This is a full-time, entry-level internship within the Transmission & Distribution group. Candidates should be pursuing a CAD-related degree, be enrolled in a post-secondary program, and have a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of certificate, Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in CAD, Engineering Technology, or related degree.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education or technical program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Revise existing drawings and prepare drawings of basic components from instructions or sketches.
• Learn and follow company and client drafting standards and procedures.
• Learn practices of a selected discipline and perform other duties as assigned.
