Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks a Drafting Intern to revise drawings and prepare basic component drawings from instructions or sketches. The role supports CAD drafting while learning company standards and procedures.

Interns may be assigned additional tasks as they gain experience. The position emphasizes strong communication and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on developing drafting skills within our Oil, Gas & Chemical and Transmission & Distribution groups.

Qualifications

• Pursuing certificate/associate or bachelor's degree in CAD, engineering tech, or related field.
• Active enrollment in a post-secondary or technical program related to the work.
• GPA around 3.0 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Revise existing drawings and prepare drawings of basic components from instructions or sketches.
• Learn and follow company/drafting standards and procedures.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
