Summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking a Power BI Developer to work with internal customers to provide business intelligence support. The role requires a background in data and business analysis. The ideal candidate will be analytical and an excellent communicator.

This position can be based at any Balfour Beatty office within the U.S. or be full-time remote for those not near a location.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop high-quality BI solutions in an enterprise data warehouse/lake environment.
• Plan product and technical strategies with teammates.
• Assist/train citizen developers in using reporting assets.
• Design or improve relational and dimensional data models.
• Evaluate and enhance existing BI systems.
• Perform data analysis, profiling, and quality assessments to ensure data integrity.
• Conduct testing and validation of Power BI reports and data models, troubleshooting discrepancies.
• Cleanse and transform unformatted or incomplete data.
• Analyze legacy databases and assess data source availability.
• Follow team, IT, and company policies and document technical details.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Business Intelligence experience in a data warehouse environment.
• 3+ years of experience with Power BI.
• 3+ years of experience with T-SQL.
• 3+ years of experience with DAX and Power Query.

Job Skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities, with attention to detail.
• Proven BI Developer experience with strong DAX and dimensional modeling skills.
• Strong SQL query skills.
