Job Summary:

The Client Valuations IT team is building a platform which will be used by the Valuations and Asset Management teams for the daily, monthly, and quarterly marking of all Credit investments. We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing visually and aesthetically pleasing reports using the Power BI platform. This role requires expertise in user experience (UX) design, data modeling, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. This is a unique opportunity to build a brand-new platform, from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Report Design and User Experience (UX):

• Create intuitive, interactive, and visually appealing usercentric reports and ensure that reports align with our companys branding guidelines
• Reveal actionable insights through your data analysis and design
• Collaborate with Front End developers to ensure consistent user experience across our platforms

Data Modeling:

• Develop and maintain robust data models to support reporting and analytics needs
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices in data modeling
• Optimize data models for performance and scalability

Data Integration and ETL:

• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI
• Integrate data from multiple systems to create comprehensive and cohesive reports

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other team members to gather requirements and deliver highquality reports
• Clearly and concisely communicate complex data insights to nontechnical stakeholders
• Conduct user research and gather feedback to continuously improve report usability
• Provide training and support to endusers on how to use Power BI reports effectively
• Stay organized by updating the Azure Boards ticketing system and track status updates for our deliverables

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in BI, data visualization, and UX design
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve reporting processes and tools

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
• Masters degree is a plus

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
• Proven experience in designing and developing reports using Power BI
• Strong background in data modeling and ETL processes
• Experience in user experience (UX) design and applying UX principles to report development

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data visualization techniques
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices
• Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus

Domain Knowledge:

• Relevant experience at a financial services firm is a plus
• Base understanding of valuations approaches, key terms (discount rates, cap rates, exit multiples), and common calculations (FMV, MTM, PnL) is a plus
