Job summary

Powderbird, based at Snowbird Resort in Utah, is seeking seasonal Ground Crew members to support safe and efficient heli-skiing operations. You will assist guests, pilots, and teammates with aircraft support, guest services, transportation, snow removal, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep, while working outdoors in winter mountain conditions.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a strong safety mindset with good verbal and written

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; prior snow sport industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support guest safety and positive guest experience from arrival to departure.
• Daily ground support tasks including aircraft/guest gear handling and loading.
• Coordinate with pilots via radio dispatch and flight following.
• Assist with facility upkeep, maintenance, and snow removal.
• Transport guests safely in company vehicles.
• Set up, maintain, and issue rental equipment as needed.
• Assist with inventory and care of equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Powderbird, founded in 1973, is a leader in helicopter skiing, offering premier single-day and multi-day heli-skiing and lodging packages. Based at Snowbird Resort in Utah, we are the only permitted helicopter ski outfitter in the state. Our heli-skiing and riding adventures depart daily from our heliport located slope-side at Snowbird.

Job Summary:

Powderbird is seeking seasonal Ground Crew members to support the safe and efficient ground support for helicopter skiing operations. This role supports guests, pilots, and fellow team members through aircraft support, guest services, transportation, snow removal, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep. A commitment to safety, attention to detail, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a desire to make a difference are essential for this opportunity. You must be comfortable working outdoors in winter mountain conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support guest safety and positive guest experience from arrival to departure
• Daily helicopter pad tasks such as refueling, aircraft support, guest/gear loading and unloading
• Conduct radio dispatch, flight following, and operational communications
• Complete routine building maintenance and cleaning as needed
• Perform snow removal using hand tools and powdered equipment
• Transport guests safely in company vehicles
• Setup, maintain, and issue ski and snowboard rental equipment
• Assist with inventory, storage, and care of Powderbird equipment and supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required knowledge, skills, and experience:

• High school degree or GED equivalent required
• Valid state issued driver's license
• Committed to safety in all aspects of work
• Previous experience in the snow sport industry preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Ability to safely operate vehicles, snow removal equipment, and tools required for the position
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to effectively communicate and receive operational information through verbal, written, and radio communications

Schedule:

Seasonal position operating during the winter heli-ski season Must be available to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and shifts based on operation needs and weather conditions
