Job summary

Powderbird, based at Snowbird Resort in Utah, seeks a full-time seasonal Heliport Steward to prep, cook and present breakfast and lunch for guests. The role runs 8am-5pm, Tuesday-Saturday, from early December through April, with a focus on safety and guest satisfaction.

You will assist the Chef, help stock dining areas, maintain sanitation, and ensure quick, friendly service in a high-altitude resort environment. Prior culinary experience and ServSafe certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Previous culinary experience required.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Commitment to safety in all aspects of work.
• Hospitality or resort experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for up to 12 hours.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Hearing normal conversations in a busy environment.
• Dexterity to use kitchen equipment.
• Background check required; adhere to appearance, drug and alcohol, and conduct policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present meals to Powderbird guests.
• Set up, restock, and break down dining area; refill beverage coolers.
• Maintain variety of food types; adapt to requests.
• Ensure sanitation and safety compliance.
• Dishwashing after meals.
• Keep heliport, guest and staff areas clean and organized.
• Restroom facilities cleaned and restocked.
• Other duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for helping prep, cook, and present breakfast and lunch to our guests.**Schedule:**The typical schedule for this position is 8am-5pm five days a week, Tuesday - Saturday. This position will work along side the Chef.This position will typically start early-mid December and run through April (depending on snow).**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Helps prepare, cook, and presents meals to Powderbird guests daily* Helps set up, restock, and break down dining area for meals, including refilling beverage coolers* Well versed in the making of a variety of food types* Ability to adapt & cater to specific requests* Consistently deliver high quality meals each day* Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines* Dishwashing after meals* Wipe down tables, sweep, and mop* Overall organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of the Heliport, including guest and employee areas* Clean and restock restroom facilities* Other duties as assigned**Required knowledge, skills, and experience:*** High school degree or GED equivalent required* Valid state issued driver’s license* Previous culinary experience is required* ServSafe Certification will be required* Committed to safety in all aspects of work* Previous experience in the hospitality or resort industry preferred* Ability to lift and carry loads up to 50 lbs.* Ability to work on your feet for up to 12 hours a day* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written* Must be able to hear normal conversations in a busy, crowded environment* Vision must be within normal range to work safely and to read written information* Must have the dexterity to use all equipment and utensils normally associated with the position*This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the role.
