Job summary

NGK Ceramics in Mooresville, NC is hiring for Powder Prep Operator I on the A Shift (7:30pm - 7:45am, 4 on - 4 off). You will safely operate sifting, weighing lines, and material handling to produce accurate weigh batches for manufacturing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months of manufacturing/warehousing experience, and CRC Bronze or above. Training, safety, and paperwork duties are included, with a full-time schedule and benefits as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be able to successfully complete all required job training.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 6 month manufacturing/warehousing experience or equivalent
• CRC Bronze or above
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Basic MS Windows software skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates and monitors the sifting process and weighing lines to enable the production of complete weigh batches.
• Monitors weighing silo levels and verifies lot numbers and setups.
• Verifies material identification and correct silo selection for transport and processing.
• Keeps work areas clean and ensures safe handling of materials and sacks.
• Completes paperwork and enters lot data into company information systems.
• Operates and maintains weighing lines and ensures proper batch preparation.
