Job summary

NGK Ceramics in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Tech Lead for the Day Shift (7:30am–7:45pm) on a 4 on/4 off rotation. The role focuses on leading technical activities, ensuring setup accuracy, changeovers, and problem resolution in a high‑volume production environment.

The incumbent will supervise equipment setup, monitor quality and safety, and provide shift reports. Strong reading of drawings and adherence to SOPs are essential, with expected collaboration across teams and PM/Kaizen initiatives.

Qualifications

Must be able to successfully complete all required job training.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.
Monitor production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
Read and understand product drawings and specifications.
May input maintenance work orders through Maximo system.
