Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a 1st shift Paint Department Lead in Little Chute, WI to guide the paint and powder coating teams within a metal fabrication facility. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPIs while partnering with engineering to optimize processes.

You will coach staff, distribute workload through department leads, and ensure ISO QMS compliance. Strong leadership and manufacturing knowledge in powder coating are required.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years related experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication.
• 2-5+ years of experience leading production and employees.
• Must have manufacturing experience in Powder Coating.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of manufacturing departments in paint and powder coating in a metal fabrication production facility
• Influence, track, and hold the team accountable for KPIs - including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (SQDC), the output of critical components, plant productivity, etc.
• Confidently make timely decisions that will positively impact production, results, and customer satisfaction
• Distributes workload to production staff through department leads.
• Train employees on processes and machine set-ups
• Audit employee time and production efficiencies, providing coaching for improvements on attendance and performance as needed
• Consult with engineering to modification of jobs to improve production and quality of products.
• Comply with the requirements of the ISO Quality Management System and departmental procedures, and work-in-structions.
