Job summary

Dane Manufacturing Company is seeking a 1st Shift Paint Line Associate in Waunakee, WI. The role involves preparing, hanging, loading, and unloading metal parts on an automated powder coating line to meet quality and production timelines.

You will work with painters, quality inspectors, and material handlers to maintain smooth workflow, follow safety procedures, and help ensure defect-free finished parts. Training is provided for powder coating processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or finishing environment is a plus.
• Understanding of basic powder coating line processes (loading, coating, curing, unloading).
• Ability to read work orders and loading diagrams.
• Attention to detail for correct orientation, spacing and handling.
• Good manual dexterity and stamina for repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Load metal parts onto the automated conveyor line according to work orders and diagrams.
• Secure, hang, and space parts for proper coating coverage.
• Unload finished parts, inspect for defects, and stage for packaging or shipment.
• Handle parts to prevent scratches or coating damage.
• Assist with masking, plugging, or prepping as required.
• Work with quality control to identify coating defects and report nonconformances.
• Maintain accurate counts and ensure correct parts are loaded/unloaded per schedule.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and stocked with tools and materials.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; communicate issues to supervision.
