Job summary

MITER Brands is seeking a Production Team Lead I for the Powder Coating Department in Fife, WA. You will be on the production floor, leading safety, quality, and productivity while supporting the Shift Supervisor and ensuring customer commitments are met.

Responsibilities include directing daily operations, training staff, and collaborating with Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics to achieve operational goals. Strong leadership and mechanical skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and accurately read a tape measure.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Powder Coating operations in accordance with safety, quality, and production standards.
• Support the Shift Supervisor in coordinating staffing, workflow, and production priorities.
• Assign work, provide direction, and ensure team members have the tools and resources needed to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
• Monitor production output, quality, downtime, and departmental performance metrics.
• Troubleshoot equipment, process, and product quality issues and escalate when needed.
• Ensure manufacturing orders, production documentation, and quality records are completed accurately and on time.
• Train, coach, and support team members on standard operating procedures, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and other departments to support operational goals.
