Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Powder Coat Operator for the 1st shift to operate coating equipment, ensure product quality, and support production processes. You will load parts, verify cleanliness, and apply powder coat with precision while following blueprints and specifications.

Expect lifting up to 70 lbs, standing for long periods, and using SAP/TruTops Fab for order confirmation. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in powder coating or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Basic computer skills to review and print work orders.
• Ability to adjust cleaning solutions and read specs.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Load parts onto conveyor line and prep for powder coating.
• Ensure parts are clean and dry before spraying.
• Apply powder coat with zero defects; unload parts accurately.
• Document production orders in the business system (SAP/TruTops Fab).
• Handle finished parts and maintain paperwork accuracy.
• Utilize Kanban and MRP systems for materials.
• Follow rework policies for defective parts.
• Use area tools like forklifts and power drills safely.
• Assist color changeovers and perform routine checks.
• Read blueprints and written specifications; stand and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Support 5S and preventive maintenance; perform other duties as directed.
