Gradian Thermal Solutions in Dayton, MN is seeking an Industrial Powder Coat Operator – 1st Shift to prepare, coat, and finish parts using powder coating equipment. You will focus on producing quality finishes while maintaining equipment and following safety procedures.

The role requires prior powder coating experience, basic math, and a mechanical aptitude. You will operate spray guns and booths, load powder, monitor adhesion and finish quality, and keep a clean, organized work area as part of

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial powder coating preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment preferred.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material requirements.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with equipment setup, adjustment, and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
• Set up and operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and booths.
• Select, prepare, and load powder according to company color requirements and specifications.
• Apply powder coatings evenly and accurately to achieve the required finish and quality.
• Monitor the coating process to ensure proper adhesion, coverage, and consistency, adjusting spray equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
