Job summary

Elyria Foundry|Hodge Foundry is seeking a full-time industrial worker to cast metal parts by pouring molten iron into molds. You will follow strict safety rules, coordinate with the melt shop on temperatures, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

The role demands reading and following detailed instructions, ability to work in a physically demanding environment, and readiness to learn alongside a skilled team. Safety gear and steady shifts are provided.

Qualifications

• Must work in fast-paced, physical industrial environment.
• Team oriented with strong work ethic.
• Knowledge and use of air tools, power tools, chippers, grinders, sledgehammers, and chisels.
• Observe and enforce safety requirements including PPE.
• Must be able to read, write and follow detailed instructions.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

• Responsible for own safety and the safety of others in the area

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Position requires the ability to stand or walk for long durations.
• Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures (hot/cold).
• Handle moving objects: Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
• The ability to see details at close and distant range with depth perception and the ability to see colors.
• Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Job Type:

Full Time. Hourly, non-exempt.
