Cobb in Rose, OK is hiring a Poultry Selection Worker to assist with selecting birds around six weeks old based on conformation, attributes and family data, and to move birds within the complex.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to biosecurity guidelines. Starting pay is $17 per hour plus shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer.
• No employment gaps >6 months in past 36 months; rehire rules apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with selecting up to 2,500 pedigree birds daily by gender, catching, wing band scanning, and auditing market birds.
• Monitor ventilation and light; identify coop assignments; maintain cleanliness in boot room and break areas.
• Set up for selection: load coops, place catch frames, hang lights, set up scales and scanners, label coops.
• Ensure proper disposal of dead birds daily and move birds between houses as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned; follow safety and biosecurity guidelines.
