Job summary

Cobb is hiring for a Poultry Selection Worker in the United States. Schedule runs Monday through Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:00 pm with possible start/end time changes based on production needs.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour plus shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends. Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the selection of up to 2500 pedigree birds daily by identifying gender, catching, scanning wing band number, and auditing market birds for wing bands.
• Monitoring ventilation and light.
• Assisting with properly identifying the coop birds are assigned to.
• Maintaining clean foot pans in assigned boot room, sanitizing selection breakroom and all equipment used during selection process.
• Ensuring dead birds are disposed of properly each day at the end of selection.
