Job summary

Cobb is seeking a Cobb Poultry Selection Worker at our Rose, OK facility. The role involves assisting with selecting birds around six weeks old, verifying wing bands, and supporting daily operations within a biosecure environment. Strong attention to safety and teamwork is essential.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with additional shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends, plus a comprehensive benefits package available from day one of full-time hire.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer.
• No employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days for Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with selecting up to 2,500 pedigree birds daily by identifying gender, catching, scanning wing band numbers, and auditing market birds for wing bands.
• Monitor ventilation and lighting in the coop areas.
• Identify the coop assignments and maintain cleanliness of boot room and selection breakroom.
• Observe farm structures and equipment and recommend maintenance or repairs.
• Assist with setup for selection (loading coops, hanging lights, setting up scales and scanners).
• Ensure proper disposal of dead birds each day.
