Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson is seeking a Product Development Technologist to support development and commercialization of poultry-derived products. You will help ensure compliance with regulations and lead documentation for new processes, working cross-functionally with R&D, QA and operations in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Food Science and at least one year of related experience; poultry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
• Minimum one year related experience in food product development.
• Experience in poultry industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in product development projects including benchtop prototypes and documentation.
• Develop and improve the project summary process and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Assist commercialization to meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Handle data entry/modification for commercialization in Optiva and related docs.
• Collaborate with Scheduling, Operations, QA and R&D to scale up plants.
• Wear PPE and follow safety protocols; perform other duties as assigned.
