Job summary

Wayne Farms in Tennessee is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor for the Retail or Further processing departments to supervise processing/department personnel, ensuring HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, USDA and OSHA compliance while meeting production targets and customer specs. This role leads up to 100 employees, coaches staff, and works with Quality Assurance to maintain food safety in a fast-paced environment.

A HS diploma is required, with an Associate’s degree preferred and prior manufacturing

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in a manufacturing setting; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Leadership experience including timekeeping, policy adherence, conflict resolution; three years preferred.
• Knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations (OSHA, GMP, HACCP) and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 100 employees in retail or further processing lines.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to meet production schedules and optimize efficiency.
• Complete and record daily departmental reports, attendance and yields.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Lead process improvements, monitor metrics and respond to trends.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain a food-safe environment per USDA specs.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and training; administer performance actions.
• Promote safety and ensure proper PPE usage; support cross-department collaboration.
