Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Material Handler, Pouch, to move and process IV therapies, premixed drugs, and sterile solutions in a cleanroom, while ensuring quality and safety standards are met. You will operate line equipment, inspect bags for defects, and participate in line clearance and end-of-shift cleanup.

The role requires learning cGMP standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with teamwork and safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year of manufacturing experience, preferred.
• CRC (Career Readiness Certification) at the Silver level, preferred.
• Possess or be able to obtain Worksaver Operator Certification.
• Possess or be able to obtain Inspector Certification.
• Basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members.
• Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supply materials to the Pouching line, operate and perform minor maintenance on line machinery.
• Transport IV therapies, premixed drugs, renal therapies and other sterile solutions.
• Pre-Op and change out batteries on the powered industrial truck (if required).
• Keep the truck loader continuously supplied with empty/cleared trucks to be loaded.
• Procure and stage production supplies as indicated on the BOM and restock unused supplies.
• Clear or correct faults/alarms, operate and adjust automated line equipment.
• Perform adjustments and minor maintenance on pouch sealer, trucks and belts.
• Document required information on manufacturing logs and POMS system.
• Visually inspect each bag for defects and log any defects.
• Perform scheduled quality checks using gauges and a scale.
• Unpackage and re-inspect product when necessary.
• Notify supervisor of safety/quality issues and take action.
