Job summary

Baxter in Marion, NC is seeking a Material Handler, Pouch to support the pouching line, moving materials, and operating line equipment to ensure timely delivery of IV therapies and sterile solutions.

You will be trained in cGMP and quality standards, maintain a clean 6S workspace, and collaborate with the Manufacturing team on safety and process improvements. This role requires a high school diploma or GED and basic math/English skills.

Qualifications

• Basic English written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and transport filled bags from truck loader to sterilization using powered equipment.
• Pre-Op and change out batteries on powered trucks as required.
• Keep truck loader stocked with empty/cleared trucks for loading.
• Procure and stage production supplies per BOM and restock unused items.
• Clear faults/alarms and adjust automated loading equipment as needed.
• Maintain pouch sealer, trucks and belts with minor maintenance.
• Document information on manufacturing logs or POMS system.
• Visually inspect bags for defects and record findings.
• Perform scheduled quality checks with gauges and a scale.
• Notify supervisor of safety or quality issues and take action.
• Assist line clearance and end-of-shift clean-up including scrap weighing.
