Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking a Pouch Machine Operator for the day shift (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) to properly operate and maintain pouch packaging equipment for safe, efficient production in a fast-paced environment. You will set up materials, monitor weights and machine performance, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include ensuring quality and food safety standards, performing changeovers with the team, and adhering to safety procedures and PPE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills to follow instructions and paperwork.
• Willingness to use PPE, lockout/tagout, and machine operation systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate pouch packaging equipment safely and efficiently while meeting quality and food safety standards.
• Set up, load, and adjust materials such as film, boxes, labels, and coding.
• Monitor product weight, machine performance, and line set-ups for consistency.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and assist with changeovers.
• Clean, sanitize, assemble, and disassemble equipment per procedures.
• Complete production, inspection, and downtime documentation and assist with other duties.
