Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years hands‑on engineering experience in manufacturing, pilot, or scale‑up environments.
• Minimum of 2 years working with battery cell stacking, notching, and/or assembly equipment.
• Proficient in CAD design, GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Demonstrable track record of solving complex process engineering issues.
• Strong adaptability to a fast‑paced pilot line environment and evolving systems.
• Proficiency with data tools (Excel, MATLAB, JMP, Minitab, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to document processes and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Process Ownership: develop, document, and stabilize pouch cell assembly processes for the pilot line.
• Sustaining & Optimization: monitor equipment performance, analyze workflows, and drive yield improvements.
• Data-Driven Troubleshooting: plan and execute DOEs to understand the assembly window and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with R&D, sourcing, and production to align with development schedules and cell integration targets.
• Develop SOPs, control plans, and specifications as processes mature.
• Interface with equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues as needed.
• Provide updates to engineering leadership with data and experimental results.
• Uphold safety regulations and company policies.
